Below is the latest data released by FloridaCommerce for Broward County's November 2025 unemployment rate. Also included is information for the South Florida area.
Broward County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Broward region (Broward County) was 4.6 percent in November 2025. This rate was 1.4 percentage points greater than the region's year ago rate of 3.2 percent. The region's November 2025 unemployment rate was 0.3 percentage point lower than the state rate of 4.9 percent. The labor force was 1,086,836, up 3,132 (+0.3 percent) over the year. There were 50,346 unemployed residents in the region.
- In November 2025, nonagricultural employment in the Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Sunrise MD was 941,400, an increase of 2,900 jobs (+0.3 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Leisure and Hospitality (+2,100 jobs); Financial Activities (+1,400 jobs); Government (+1,200 jobs); Professional and Business Services (+700 jobs); Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+400 jobs); and Other Services (+200 jobs).

Palm Beach County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Palm Beach County region (Palm Beach County) was 5.0 percent in November 2025. This rate was 1.5 percentage points greater than the region's year ago rate of 3.5 percent. The region's November 2025 unemployment rate was 0.1 percentage point above the state rate of 4.9 percent. The labor force was 784,137, up 10,896 (+1.4 percent) over the year. There were 38,994 unemployed residents in the region.
- In November 2025, nonagricultural employment in the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton-Delray Beach MD was 717,600, an increase of 9,600 jobs (+1.4 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Education and Health Services (+8,100 jobs); Government (+1,500 jobs); Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+700 jobs); Information (+400 jobs); Other Services (+400 jobs); Financial Activities (+200 jobs); and Leisure and Hospitality (+100 jobs).

Miami-Dade County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource South Florida region (Miami-Dade County) was 3.2 percent in November 2025. This rate was 0.8 percentage point greater than the region's year ago rate of 2.4 percent. The region's November 2025 unemployment rate was 1.7 percentage points lower than the state rate of 4.9 percent. The labor force was 1,459,028, up 23,766 (+1.7 percent) over the year. There were 46,496 unemployed residents in the region.
- In November 2025, nonagricultural employment in the Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall MD was 1,362,000, an increase of 5,900 jobs (+0.4 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+6,200 jobs); Education and Health Services (+3,200 jobs); Mining, Logging, and Construction (+2,300 jobs); Other Services (+600 jobs); Information (+300 jobs); and Financial Activities (+200 jobs).

State of Florida Unemployment Data
- Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.2 percent in November 2025, up 0.3 percentage point from the September 2025 rate, and up 0.7 percentage point from a year ago. There were 466,000 jobless Floridians out of a labor force of 11,209,000. The U.S. seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.6 percent in November.
- Florida’s seasonally adjusted total nonagricultural employment was 10,047,900 in November 2025, a decrease of 300 jobs (less than -0.1 percent) over the month. The state gained 75,300 jobs over the year, an increase of 0.8 percent. Nationally, the number of jobs rose 0.6 percent over the year.
