Become A Training Provider
CareerSource Broward proudly collaborates with a variety of public and private education and training institutions. Our Eligible Training Providers (ETPs) become a part of a customer-focused workforce investment system that improves opportunities by giving those seeking employment the tools and skills needed to either enter or advance in a career.
Effective July 1, 2024, all training providers are required to utilize the new statewide ETP portal to apply for inclusion on the state Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL). The ETPL and new ETP Portal are maintained in Employ Florida, the state’s labor exchange and case management system.
The State ETPL Coordinator will approve or deny the application and will notify the training provider of approval or denial.
To access the ETP portal, go to www.employflorida.com and complete the following steps:
- Select the “Sign In / Register” button.
- Scroll down to the “Provider” section and select the “Provider Registration” button.
- On the “Your Organization” page, type in your training institute’s name to determine if it is already in the system. If your registered name is different than your DBA name, try that as well.
- If your organization is in the system, select the “Found in List” button; if not, select the “Not Found” button.
- Fill out the information to register as your company’s Provider Representative. All fields with red asterisks are required. Remember to select the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
- Complete all required pages in the registration process. Instructions are provided to assist you.
If you have additional questions, please contact the State ETPL Coordinator at ETPL@commerce.fl.gov.
If approved, the training provider and programs will be added to the state ETPL as an ETP. At that time, the ETP may contact CareerSource Broward at training@careersourcebroward.com about applying for inclusion on the local ETPL to provide training services within Broward County. Please note that additional local eligibility requirements will apply.
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides for eligible providers of training services programs (ETP) to receive WIOA funds for eligible participants enrolled in an approved training program. ETPs are not guaranteed participant referrals; referrals will be based on an assessment of the participant’s aptitude, abilities, geographic location, interests, financial situation, and other relevant information.
