Senior Business Services Representative (Intermediary)

The Senior Business Services Representative (SBSR) serves as an intermediary to business and trade associations (“business associations”) which represent employers with in-demand jobs and those with emerging occupations in the workforce area. This may include the out-stationing of the SBSR to the business association for a significant portion of the work week. The SBSR represents CSBD with employers and is responsible for introducing and promoting the business and career services offered by CSBD; this includes identifying training and placement needs of employers, and explaining how CSBD can meet those needs through classroom and work based learning opportunities such as through, on the job training, incumbent training and work experience opportunities. The SBSR is the liaison between the business /trade association, the employers they represent and the CSBD career centers staff who can identify job seekers who can meet employer needs in the sectors for which the SBSR serves as the intermediary.

The position requires understanding of CSBD’s vision and mission as well as the CSBD performance metrics and the vision, mission and needs of the business association assigned to the SBSR. The SBSR must have strong interpersonal skills as well as be self-directed when out-stationed, must be able to develop a project plan which ties into the CSBD performance metrics, identify jointly beneficial activities and represent CSBD in the delivery of those activities.
