Broward County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Broward region (Broward County) was 3.4 percent in November 2024. This rate was 0.4 percentage point greater than the region's year ago rate of 3.0 percent. The region's November 2024 unemployment rate was 0.2 percentage point lower than the state rate of 3.6 percent. The labor force was 1,082,214, down 11,492 (- 1.1 percent) over the year. There were 36,977 unemployed residents in the region.
- In November 2024, nonagricultural employment in the Fort Lauderdale-Pompano BeachDeerfield Beach MD was 945,000, an increase of 14,500 jobs (+1.6 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Government (+4,300 jobs); Other Services (+3,300 jobs); Education and Health Services (+2,500 jobs); Leisure and Hospitality (+2,500 jobs); Construction (+2,300 jobs); and Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+2,100 jobs).

Palm Beach County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Palm Beach County region (Palm Beach County) was 3.6 percent in November 2024. This rate was 0.5 percentage point greater than the region's year ago rate of 3.1 percent. The region's November 2024 unemployment rate was equal to the state rate of 3.6 percent. The labor force was 772,513, down 9,685 (-1.2 percent) over the year. There were 27,803 unemployed residents in the region.
- In November 2024, nonagricultural employment in the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton-Delray Beach MD was 710,900, an increase of 9,900 jobs (+1.4 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Education and Health Services (+4,100 jobs); Leisure and Hospitality (+2,700 jobs); Government (+2,100 jobs); Construction (+1,800 jobs); Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+900 jobs); and Other Services (+500 jobs).

Miami-Dade County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource South Florida region (Miami-Dade County) was 2.4 percent in November 2024. This rate was 0.9 percentage point greater than the region's year ago rate of 1.5 percent. The region's November 2024 unemployment rate was 1.2 percentage points lower than the state rate of 3.6 percent. The labor force was 1,370,869, down 33,717 (-2.4 percent) over the year. There were 32,907 unemployed residents in the region.
- In November 2024, nonagricultural employment in the Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall MD was 1,354,000, an increase of 24,800 jobs (+1.9 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Mining, Logging, and Construction (+6,100 jobs); Education and Health Services (+5,500 jobs); Leisure and Hospitality (+4,900 jobs); Professional and Business Services (+4,500 jobs); Government (+3,100 jobs); Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+2,500 jobs); Other Services (+1,900 jobs); and Information (+100 jobs).

State of Florida Unemployment Data
- Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.4 percent in November 2024, up 0.1 percentage point from the October 2024 rate, and up 0.3 percentage point from a year ago. There were 376,000 jobless Floridians out of a labor force of 11,015,000. The U.S. seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.2 percent in November.
- Florida’s seasonally adjusted total nonagricultural employment was 10,010,500 in November 2024, an increase of 61,500 jobs (+0.6 percent) over the month. The state gained 163,900 jobs over the year, an increase of 1.7 percent. Nationally, the number of jobs rose 1.4 percent over the year.
