Through no-cost consulting, expert training, and access to SBA loan resources, the SBDC supports business planning, funding, market research, and disaster recovery. With offices at FAU and FIU, they serve entrepreneurs across Broward, Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties. Join the discussion and discover how to build a more resilient and prepared business.

Speaker: Rafael Cruz, Assistant Director, Florida SBDC at Florida Atlantic University
Rafael is the Executive Consultant for the Florida SBDC at Florida Atlantic University, serving businesses in Broward and Palm Beach counties. He specializes in helping small businesses and nonprofits strengthen operations, develop strategic growth plans, and secure access to capital. With a strong background in entrepreneurship and business advising, Rafael provides hands-on guidance to help organizations scale, improve sustainability, and navigate challenges. He also represents the SBDC on panels, in media interviews, and as a judge for business competitions, supporting Florida’s economic development ecosystem.
