CAREERSOURCE BROWARD WELCOMES CATHERINA ROZARIO TO BROWARD WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – CareerSource Broward (CSBD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherina Rozario, CRC, to the Broward Workforce Development Board (BWDB). Rozario, Area Director with the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, joins a distinguished group of more than 25 leaders from the business, education, and industry sectors, all dedicated to improving workforce development and quality of life for job seekers and employers across Broward County.

With nearly 20 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation, Rozario brings a unique blend of academic and practical expertise to the board. She holds three master's degrees, including one in Sociology from Bangladesh, a second in Employment and Labor Studies from the Netherlands, and a third in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas. In addition to her professional background, she serves on the City of Sunrise Advisory Board and actively volunteers with local nonprofits.

“Catherina’s expertise and dedication to service will be invaluable as we work to empower individuals and strengthen our economy,” said Carol Hylton, President/CEO of CareerSource Broward. “Supporting individuals with disabilities is a top priority for CSBD. From providing tools to improve employment outcomes to educating companies on the advantages of inclusive hiring, we are excited to welcome Catherina to our board and look forward to the impact she will make.”

According to FloridaCommerce, over 378,000 individuals with disabilities are employed across Florida. However, many still face barriers to employment, including limited access to education, training, and transportation. To address these challenges, CareerSource Broward offers specialized programs like the Ticket to Work Program and the Job Accommodation Network, which provide resources and training to help individuals with disabilities build confidence, independence, and workforce readiness.

“As awareness of disability inclusion grows and our labor market diversifies, the demand for meaningful vocational rehabilitation initiatives has never been greater,” said Rozario. “I am honored to join Broward County’s leading workforce development board and look forward to contributing my expertise to its impactful work.”
