CAREERSOURCE BROWARD WELCOMES SUPERINTENDENT DR. HOWARD HEPBURN TO BROWARD WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - CareerSource Broward (CSBD), the premier workforce development agency for career training, employment solutions, and job placement services, as well as recruiting and training services for employers, announced that Broward County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn has been appointed to the Broward Workforce Development Board (BWDB).

“Having a well-established, positive relationship with our local school system is critical when it comes to enhancing our commitment to putting Broward County’s youth on a positive trajectory toward career fulfillment,” said CareerSource Broward President/CEO Carol Hylton. “We are thrilled to welcome Superintendent Dr. Hepburn as a member of the Broward Workforce Development Board. His experience, energy, and valuable insights as an education leader will without a doubt benefit both the mission and vision of our agency.”

With more than two decades of experience in the field of education, Dr. Hepburn previously served as Broward County Public School’s Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning prior to his appointment to Superintendent in April 2024. During his esteemed career, he also held the roles of classroom teacher, coach, dean, assistant principal, principal, and instructional superintendent. Dr. Hepburn holds a Bachelor of Science in Science Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Florida Southern College.

CareerSource Broward provides valuable resources for students looking to enter the workforce including out-of-school youth programs, the Summer Youth Employment Program, and career-path planning. These dynamic programs and services are designed to connect Broward County youth ages 16 to 24 to employment and education opportunities, while also supporting their short and long-term career goals. Dr. Hepburn’s leadership within the school system will continue to strengthen our relationship between the board and our youth population.
