Broward County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Broward region (Broward County) was 4.2 percent in March 2026. This rate was 1.0 percentage point greater than the region's year ago rate of 3.2 percent. The region's March 2026 unemployment rate was 0.2 percentage point lower than the state rate of 4.4 percent. The labor force was 1,071,827, down 9,218 (-0.9 percent) over the year. There were 45,381 unemployed residents in the region
- In March 2026, nonagricultural employment in the Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Sunrise MD was 919,300, a decrease of 9,300 jobs (-1.0 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Education and Health Services (+1,600 jobs) and Government (+1,000 jobs).

Palm Beach County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Palm Beach County region (Palm Beach County) was 4.4 percent in March 2026. This rate was 1.0 percentage points greater than the region's year ago rate of 3.4 percent. The region's March 2026 unemployment rate was equal to the state rate of 4.4 percent. The labor force was 773,122, down 7,283 (-0.9 percent) over the year. There were 34,093 unemployed residents in the region.
- In March 2026, nonagricultural employment in the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton-Delray Beach MD was 705,500, a decrease of 6,800 jobs (-1.0 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Education and Health Services (+1,500 jobs); Government (+1,200 jobs); and Professional and Business Services (+1,100 jobs).

Miami-Dade County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource South Florida region (Miami-Dade County) was 2.9 percent in March 2026. This rate was 0.2 percentage point greater than the region's year ago rate of 2.7 percent. The region's March 2026 unemployment rate was 1.5 percentage points lower than the state rate of 4.4 percent. The labor force was 1,450,178, up 32,342 (+2.3 percent) over the year. There were 42,728 unemployed residents in the region.
- In March 2026, nonagricultural employment in the Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall MD was 1,360,800, a decrease of 2,700 jobs (-0.2 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Professional and Business Services (+5,300 jobs) and Education and Health Services (+4,700 jobs).

State of Florida Unemployment Data
- Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.7 percent in March 2026, up 0.1 percentage point from the February 2026 rate, and up 1.1 percentage points from a year ago. There were 523,000 jobless Floridians out of a labor force of 11,146,000. The U.S. seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.3 percent in March.
- Florida’s seasonally adjusted total nonagricultural employment was 9,993,200 in March 2026, an increase of 28,100 jobs (+0.3 percent) over the month. The state lost 22,400 jobs over the year, a decrease of 0.2 percent. Nationally, the number of jobs rose 0.2 percent over the year.
- Eight of ten major industries experienced negative over-the-year job growth in March.
