Below is the latest data released by FloridaCommerce for Broward County's June 2025 unemployment rate. Also included is information for the South Florida area.



Broward County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Broward region (Broward County) was 3.7 percent in June 2025. This rate was 0.3 percentage point greater than the region's year ago rate of 3.4 percent. The region's June 2025 unemployment rate was 0.2 percentage point lower than the state rate of 3.9 percent. The labor force was 1,087,810, down 939 (-0.1 percent) over the year. There were 40,301 unemployed residents in the region.
- In June 2025, nonagricultural employment in the Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Sunrise MD was 926,600, an increase of 11,400 jobs (+1.2 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Professional and Business Services (+3,600 jobs); Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+2,600 jobs); Leisure and Hospitality (+2,000 jobs); Government (+2,000 jobs); Other Services (+1,300 jobs); Education and Health Services (+600 jobs); Manufacturing (+500 jobs); and Financial Activities (+300 jobs).

Palm Beach County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource Palm Beach County region (Palm Beach County) was 3.9 percent in June 2025. This rate was 0.3 percentage point greater than the region's year ago rate of 3.6 percent. The region's June 2025 unemployment rate was equal to the state rate of 3.9 percent. The labor force was 779,860, up 1,718 (+0.2 percent) over the year. There were 30,748 unemployed residents in the region.
- In June 2025, nonagricultural employment in the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton-Delray Beach MD was 702,800, an increase of 10,900 jobs (+1.6 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Education and Health Services (+7,200 jobs); Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+1,400 jobs); Government (+900 jobs); Professional and Business Services (+700 jobs); Manufacturing (+600 jobs); Financial Activities (+300 jobs); Information (+200 jobs); and Other Services (+200 jobs).

Miami-Dade County¹
- The unemployment rate in the CareerSource South Florida region (Miami-Dade County) was 2.4 percent in June 2025. This rate was 0.2 percentage point lower than the region's year ago rate of 2.6 percent. The region's June 2025 unemployment rate was 1.5 percentage points lower than the state rate of 3.9 percent. The labor force was 1,439,567, down 1,765 (-0.1 percent) over the year. There were 35,146 unemployed residents in the region.
- In June 2025, nonagricultural employment in the Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall MD was 1,335,200, an increase of 20,300 jobs (+1.5 percent) over the year.
- The industries gaining jobs over the year were Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+6,300 jobs); Education and Health Services (+5,600 jobs); Mining, Logging, and Construction (+4,800 jobs); Professional and Business Services (+2,300 jobs); Other Services (+600 jobs); Leisure and Hospitality (+300 jobs); Government (+200 jobs); Manufacturing (+100 jobs); and Financial Activities (+100 jobs).

State of Florida Unemployment Data
- Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.7 percent in June 2025, unchanged from the May 2025 rate, and up 0.3 percentage point from a year ago. There were 415,000 jobless Floridians out of a labor force of 11,193,000. The U.S. seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.1 percent in June.
- Florida’s seasonally adjusted total nonagricultural employment was 10,062,600 in June 2025, a decrease of 20,000 jobs (-0.2 percent) over the month. The state gained 142,300 jobs over the year, an increase of 1.4 percent. Nationally, the number of jobs rose 1.1 percent over the year.
