CareerSource Broward Hosts 3rd Annual Worlds of Work Career Exploration Expo for Local High School Students

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (February 27, 2026) – CareerSource Broward, in partnership with Broward County Public Schools, will host the 3rd annual Worlds of Work (WOW) Career Exploration Expo on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, home of the Florida Panthers. WOW will welcome 1,200+ 9th- and 10th-grade students for an interactive experience featuring more than 50 exciting exhibits from local employers and universities.

WOW transforms the arena into a high-energy showcase of careers, with students rotating through ten immersive “worlds” representing major industries in Broward County. Students will explore tools, technology, and workplace environments through hands-on activities and demonstrations that make high-demand careers feel real and within reach. The ten WOW worlds include: Aviation; Construction, Energy and Utility; Healthcare; Hospitality; Information Technology; Logistics, Transportation, and Automotive; Manufacturing; Marine; Professional Services; and Public Safety and Service.

“WOW is where students turn imagination into action,” said Carol Hylton, President/CEO of CareerSource Broward. “When young people meet the professionals behind the careers, try the equipment, and learn more about the industries, they gain clarity and confidence. That is the spark WOW is built to create.”

“WOW gives students a clear view of the careers behind the industries and employers a meaningful way to inspire the future workforce,” said Jim Ryan, Chair of the Broward Workforce Development Board.

“WOW gives students early access to mentors and experiences that can shape their path, and it strengthens our community by building awareness of the careers that keep our local economy moving,” said Josh Levy, Mayor of the City of Hollywood and Chair of CareerSource Broward’s Council of Elected Officials.

“WOW creates that moment of discovery and strengthens the connection between education, training, and real career goals in a powerful way,” said Dr. Howard Hepburn, Superintendent of Broward County Public Schools.

Media are invited to attend. Interview opportunities will be available with event leadership, employers, and participating students. The on-site media contact number during the event is 954-706-6170.
