As a job seeker, you may or may not have heard the term “soft skills.” Documents like résumés and cover letters are often discussed in the job search; telephone and video interviews are expected parts of the process; but what are soft skills and how do they impact you?
Soft Skills are a combination of social, emotional, cognitive, and other skills related to how you operate in any workplace and interact with others professionally. Hiring managers often find that job applicants may be qualified based on their abilities and education, but their lack of soft skills prevents them from getting hired. Additionally, employers often state that workers fail in their positions due to poor soft skills.
In this workshop, we will review the 25 soft skills that are important in any job. This fast-paced, interactive class will help you determine which soft skills you have mastered and which ones you may want to improve. Your background may help you score an interview, but your soft skills will land you the job!
Our professional workshop facilitators are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience to provide exceptional tools for helping job seekers get ahead. “25 Soft Skills” is a 90-minute class offered at no cost to you, held every Tuesday at 1pm and every Wednesday at 9am.
